Tuesday night was Colin and Pat's last Cumbrian Club Night before they move to Lanzarote to establish the Lanzarote Branch of The Solway Jaguar Club.   Chairman Ken, on behalf of the members, wished them much happiness in their new home and presented them with matching T-shirts embossed with the new "Lanzarote Branch" emblem! 

Colin and Pat were Founder Members of Solway Jaguar Club and Colin was on the Committee.  He also designed and maintained the Club Website until 2006. They were both very active members of the club and contributed a lot of time and effort into making it the enjoyable club it is today.  They have assured us that they will be back to see us whenever they are visiting England. 

Gill read the following poem 'what she wrote' and she also supplied cakes in celebration of her and Keith's silver wedding anniversary.

COSTA DEL SOLWAY

Adios Amigos, Adios my friends
The roads we have travelled have come to an end
Absconding from Britain where the weather is grotty
Locating to sunny Lanzarote.

Home of flamenco and patatas fritas
Exquisite sounds and smells to greet us
Paella and salsa, tapas too
Spanish delights to name but a few.

Hasta la vista, your life in the sun,
Muchos Gracias for your friendship and fun,
We all wish you well, good health and good cheer,
Soon we'll be out to have a few beers.

Hola to Vino Blanco, Calamares and Rosé
Juan and Juanita, Maria, José
Castanets, el torro, haciendas galore
who could ever want for more.

To Col and Pat we drink a toast
Our time together we've made the most
We won't forget you never fear
Solway Jag Club will be out next Year.
