Summer 2007 may not have been the sunniest in recent years, but that didn't spoil our enjoyment of the many events the club attended. Six of our Jaguars were in the display at Wallington Hall and it stayed sunny and dry until the very end.
Andrew Jardine and Brian Green were recruited to judge best 'Pre 1980 Sports Car' and they chose a splendid Daimler Dart in Old English white with red leather interior, including a quilted leather under bonnet trim!
We had just all
been called for the Raffle and Prize Giving to end the show when the
heavens opened and we all fled back to the club Gazebo (fortunately
waterproof) while the rain came down in stair rods. Half an hour earlier
and we would have been all packed up nice and dry.
