Many thanks must go to Angela Gibson for her organisation of this superb event. Twelve Jaguars and a cheeky Mini Cooper lined up on the front forecourt of this stunning country house. Our guide took us on a tour of the house and explained it’s many historical periods, furniture and was very knowledgeable about the Vane Family and their personal effects to be found around the house. Following the tour we enjoyed Supper in the Gallery Tearoom, looking out over our cars. |

Although the day was wet, the evening stayed dry and pleasantly warm adding to the exquisite perfume of peonies, roses and other blooms in the formal gardens. The light fading, time was all to short and I think I will have to make a repeat visit to truly appreciate this wonderful Cumbrian home. |
