10 Members visited the Aston Workshop at Beamish on Thursday 20 February.  This was organised at short notice and a further visit can be arranged for those interested.  The Aston Workshop repairs and restores classic Aston Martins for owners around the World and the facilities and standard of workmanship is enlightening, the cost - something else.

The owner and founder Bob Fountain has invested heavily in a modern premises equipped with state of the art machine tooling.  The premises boasts a fully equipped machine shop, panel repair shop, engine dynamometer and spotless floor space.  A further development planned is to have on site paint spray facilities.

Both management and staff made us feel very welcome and we were free to roam and talk at length to any staff member.

After such an interesting day it was only fitting to have a nice lunch at a local area pub.
